Terms of Service

Last updated 5 July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Aiki, an economic-participation platform that connects African businesses with talents through programs, projects and paid work. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Aiki.

1. Who can use Aiki

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Business accounts must be operated by a person authorised to act for the business. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.

2. Accounts and security

Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to other users.

3. Programs, projects and work

Businesses may publish programs and projects; talents may enrol, complete tasks and submit work for review. Aiki facilitates these connections but is not a party to the agreement between a business and a talent. Each party is responsible for meeting its own obligations, including the quality, legality and timeliness of the work delivered.

4. Payments, rewards and Aiki Points

Payments made through the platform are processed by our third-party payment provider. Where a program is points-based, talents earn Aiki Points that may be redeemed for payouts at the rate in effect when the points are confirmed. Payout amounts, timing and eligibility are subject to platform policy and applicable law. Aiki may deduct fees where disclosed at the point of transaction.

5. Reviews and reputation

Customers, businesses and reviewers may leave ratings and feedback. You agree that reviews you submit are honest and based on genuine experience. We may remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or violates these Terms.

6. Disputes

If a dispute arises between a customer, business or talent, it may be raised through our disputes process. Aiki may act as a mediator within the stated resolution window, but does not guarantee any particular outcome and is not liable for the underlying transaction.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform — including by posting unlawful content, misrepresenting your identity or work, circumventing fees, scraping data, or interfering with the platform’s operation or security.

8. Intellectual property

You retain rights in the content you submit, and grant Aiki a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the platform. The Aiki name, logo and software remain our property.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aiki is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of businesses, talents or customers using the platform.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified through the platform. Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@growwithaiki.com.
